MACETECH 83-17980 Datasheet & Stock

If your Pi needs to know what time it is and a network connection isn't available, shouldn't you use the most accurate real-time clock module you can get? The ChronoPi is based on the same temperature compensated DS3231 IC as the original ChronoDot, allowing your Pi to keep accurate time to within 1min/year. The included CR1220 battery can power the ChronoPi for up to 3 - 4 years without power. While your Pi is plugged in, the battery will last until the internal chemistry eventually breaks down (possibly outlasting you!) The small design lets you use heat-sinks and enclosures without worry.Residing on the Pi's GPIO pins one through eight, the tiny ChronoPi also features an LED on GPIO pin 4 that you can program yourself, and an on-module temperature sensor for reading ambient air temperature. Setup is as easy as plugging the module into the Pi's GPIO pins, updating your operating system, and following the instructions here.Controller: Maxim DS3231SN (rated for the industrial -40C to +85C temperature range)
